MyChelle Richardson-Pinkerton, LMFT

Asking for help can be hard. Finding a trustworthy person to ask for help can be even harder. The weight of depression and/or anxiety can leave you too exhausted to search for a safe person. An unhealthy relationship may have you too afraid to risk reaching out to someone. It would be my honor to serve as that safe, trustworthy person for you. I will work to create a space filled with compassion, humility and kindness. "I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason - bringing something we must learn. And we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them..." (For Good, Wicked the musical).

All the moments we experience in life help mold and shape us, and teach us how to interact with others. What may have helped us survive in the past may no longer be useful or healthy. Together we can develop a more positive view of self and create healthier patterns of interacting with others.

I want to honor your courage for taking the initial steps towards healing. It takes great strength to reach out for help. "So if you care to find me, look to the western sky. As someone told me lately "Everyone deserves the chance to fly" (Defying Gravity, Wicked the musical) So, let's get started with your flying lessons...

But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do–
determined to save
the only life you could save.
