You’ve been the rescuer, the caregiver, the rock for years, and it’s finally taking its toll on you. You’ve learned to hide your fatigue and your pain really well. In fact, you’d be surprised if anyone knew how much you really struggle and how your thoughts race at night when the world is quiet. Words like “weak” or “not fit for duty” push you to burrow down further into your isolation. But what if there was a better way? What if you could have a place to sort through the depression and anxieties without being judged? What if finding peace wasn’t impossible?

Your courage is impressive! That same courage that has pushed you to be so strong for so many years is the same courage that’s going to drive you to peace and health. Together, we are going to work through this. You have finally found a place to exhale.

As a professional firefighter for over 20 years, I am comfortable in the chaos. As an individual and marriage therapist, I am confident that we can find a solution that works for you. Maybe it’s a traumatic event that’s knocked you off kilter, or a lifetime of just feeling “off.” Maybe your marriage is in distress, and it feels like a lost cause at this point. I have been trained in a variety of evidence-based therapy methods, and tailor these to meet your particular needs. I’m happy to share them with you, but let’s be honest, that’s not why you’re here reading this. You’re far more impressed with someone who takes the time to see you, hear you, and sometimes just sit with you in the mess. This is what you can expect when you make your appointment with me. It takes a lot to trust someone with your story. Doesn’t it make sense to follow someone who knows the way out?

When you're ready to take that first step, contact me for a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation so we can begin sorting out what path is right for you.

I utilize eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and other effective counseling techniques in my work with couples, first responders, and individuals with PTSD.

As a firefighter for 20 years, I understand the effects of trauma. I am passionate about helping individual adults (especially first responders/veterans) process depression, anxiety, suicidality, grief/loss, and PTSD. I am trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR for trauma therapy.
