Maybe you have been taught that loving yourself is selfish. Of course you find that you are your own harshest critic, and the voice in your head has a lot of negative things to say. It can be so difficult to know how to listen to your own needs and make space for them. Therapy is a safe space to give back to yourself and learn to be gentle with your own experience. You are worth the time and energy to love and care for yourself the way you do for others.  

Wanting to change and being terrified of it is so normal! You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for — you are here trying to find what is going to work for you, and that says a lot! Therapy allows the space for you to recognize what you are feeling and learn more about all that you are capable of.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it is my passion to create a safe and welcoming space for you to be able to be fully yourself. I understand the task to find a counselor that best fits you can be overwhelming — you are doing hard work already!
